Details. Botanical name – Ctenanthe setosa 'Grey Star' Common name – Grey Star. Description – Has large leaves across tall reed-like petioles with silver to grey foliage, green veins and rich purple to red undersides. Works great as an understory plant for tropical style gardens due to its high contrast foliage.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and regularly once established. Mist regularly if air humidity is low. Apply a slow release fertiliser yearly and liquid feed every three months for vibrant healthy foliage. Pruning isn't required, simply remove the old leaves for a quick tidy up.
